The Volunteering Management Expedition (VolExpo) project aims to improve the skills of managers and coordinators of volunteers (paid and unpaid) by collecting methodologies and tools useful to support the skills identified as necessary in at least 9 European countries, sharing them through “virtual expeditions” such as webinars, web clinics and online discussions, testing their impact in partner countries and selecting the most useful ones. At the end, a virtual “toolbox” will be published to help volunteer managers add new tools to their work. With the VolExpo project we aim to achieve the following results:
- Improve the use of existing tools for volunteer managers through translation, adaptation to local context, testing and publication through the “toolbox”;
- Improve the knowledge of these tools and improve the competence in using them;
- Improve networking opportunities among volunteer managers;
- Improve the volunteering experience for volunteers.
Through the “toolbox”, the VolExpo project aims to support the European volunteering community also after the project expires for a period of at least 2 years.
