What is it?
Created in 2006, the 5x1000 represents a percentage of the tax that every Italian citizen must give to the State, taking into consideration the IRPEF (tax on salaries). The State, instead of taking this amount, addresses it to non-profit associations working on socially relevant activities. Are there any additional costs? NO, For citizens this is not an additional cost. It is another destination chosen by citizens: the tax would, in any case, be addressed to the State.
What happens if I sign but do not indicate the tax code? Your 5x1000 will be proportionally divided in a proportional manner, based on the preferences received by associations linked to the same category. FOR THIS REASON, IT IS FUNDAMENTAL BOTH TO SIGN AND EXPRESS THE TAX CODE!
If I donate 5x1000 can I also donate 8x1000 and 2x1000? YES , they are distinct tools.
Is the 5x1000 tax deductible? NO. The 5x1000 is not a donation and therefore is not tax deductible.
WHERE TO SIGN
The tax return forms 730, CU, Modello Redditi (formerly Unico) contain a section dedicated to the 5x1000: at the top left you will find our reference category: “Support for volunteering and other non-profit organizations of social utility, social promotion associations, recognized associations and foundations that operate in the sectors of which in art. 10” where you can enter our tax code and put your signature.
If you present the pre-filled 730, donate your 5x1000 it's even easier! Just flag the category "Support for non-profit organizations of social utility" and type, in the appropriate box that will appear after your click, the tax ID code 93009320875.
You don’t have to present the income declaration? You can help, anyway, the children of the Centre Sisi nikesho! Use the CU mode, given by your employer or your pension institution, and search for the form “"Scheda per la destinazione del 5x1000, 8x1000 e 2x1000". Indicate the tax code 93009320875 in the section "Scelta per la destinazione del 5x1000" and put your signature.
