The \"Citizenship Academy: Building Inclusive and Diverse European Societies through the Civic Participation of Young Migrants\"<\/strong>\u00a0project promotes the civic and political participation of young migrants in Europe, strengthening their role as agents of change and enhancing democratic and community values.<\/p>\n

Context<\/h3>\n

In a Europe marked by inequalities and the rise of xenophobic narratives, many young people of migrant origin have limited access to participation opportunities. The project addresses this need through training paths and spaces for empowerment that foster inclusion, active citizenship, and social leadership.<\/p>\n

Activities<\/h3>\n

    Citizenship Schools<\/strong> in four countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Lithuania) involving 160 young people<\/strong> trained on rights, participation, and activism.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Training for youth workers and trainers<\/strong> using an innovative and replicable method at the European level.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Mentoring programs<\/strong> with leaders and experts to guide young people in political and social participation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    A European communication campaign<\/strong> and a set of policy recommendations<\/strong> to strengthen the democratic participation of young migrants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Partnership<\/h3>\n

    The project is carried out by a European consortium of organizations with expertise in migration, education, and active citizenship:<\/p>\n

      Joves\u00f3lides (Spain)<\/strong> \u2013 lead organization, specialized in non-formal education and advocacy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      VogalOrizontal (Portugal)<\/strong> \u2013 coordinating the training guide and data collection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Global Citizenship Academy (Lithuania)<\/strong> \u2013 communication and advocacy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Impact on Communities<\/h3>\n

      The Citizenship Academy strengthens the ability of local communities and social organizations to include young migrants in democratic processes, building stable European networks, replicable tools, and new opportunities for empowerment.
